Boost your winter skills with the BMC

Are you eager to take your winter adventure skills to the next level? We’ve teamed up with the BMC to bring you a series of events dedicated to helping you build your confidence in cold weather conditions. Join us and #MakeWinterCount!

We want to help as many of you as possible keep up your adventures in the coming months, even when the weather takes a turn. But we know that there are some essential things you need to know, in order to do so safely (just take a look at the below BMC video for some initial insights!)


What you’ll learn

We’re pleased to be working with the BMC to help get you up to speed with all the essential information you need to know to get outside for winter adventures in the hills. The sessions will be led by experts Sam Leary and Mick Jones who will talk you through a range of topics, including:

  • What to wear
  • Planning your day
  • Reading the weather
  • Packing a rucksack
  • Boots, crampons & axes
  • Avalanche awareness

How can you join an event?

There are 3 events available, based in London and Manchester, as well as virtually. Events take place the week commencing 29th November. If you’re interested get your tickets here.
