Introducing Jenny Tough
Currently living in the Scottish Highlands she can be mostly found bikepacking around Scotland and abroad, or fastpacking (running very long distances with a heavy backpack) across mountains. She was the first person to run solo and unsupported across The Tien Shan mountains in Kyrgyzstan, and the Atlas Mountains in northern Africa, on her ‘Run the world mountains’ mission to run across a mountain range on every continent.
In 2021, Jenny finally completed her epic 5-year mountain challenge after 6 runs across some of the most remote landscapes on the planet. Read our dedicated blog to hear how she got on and the lessons she learnt along the way, or scroll to discover more about her amazing achievements to date…
"Type 2 fun is an experience that’s anything but enjoyable whilst you’re actively doing it. It’s the type of activity you curse while you endure it, probably saying you’ll never do it again, yet weirdly can’t wait to repeat it the moment you’ve finished" - Jenny Tough
