We paired windproof protection on the front of the Men’s Nordes Jacket with highly breathable, GRANITE STRETCH panels on the back, to maximise performance, comfort, and mobility. This also allows you to team it up with our new Montane Valen alpine pack.

    What an excellent jacket - windproof at the front and a breathable panel at the back allows you to stay comfortable when ski touring. The large hood helped for the windy treks.

    I would highly recommend this jacket for ski touring and mountaineering.

    Montane Nordes Hooded Softshell Jacket

    As a professional mountain guide I prefer to use Windstopper Jackets like the Nordes during my daily work. These jacket protects me very well and the fabrics are quite tough but very comfortable. The hyprid construction with it`s breathable back performs very good while wearing a backpack. but if it`s very windy I prefer the Windjammer Jacket with it`s better protection. But, of course it`s also heavier.
