Lost Connections

Feature Film

Want to connect with the outdoors? Considering the impact of your adventure is a great way to become more immersed in your surroundings and feel connected. Montane’s Lost Connections film tells the story of a human-powered adventure through some of Scotland’s most awe-inspiring terrain, hiking and packrafting a route that was charted ‘as the crow flies’.

The adventurers camped in the wild and foraged food to learn more about the ecosystem and forge a stronger personal connection with the land. They planned their route using just hiking, train travel and paddling, while wearing Montane’s protective, recycled Solution Jacket and Pants to travel efficiently, for the lowest possible impact.

Further.Forever.

Responsible choices lead to long-term solutions, and Montane's clothing and equipment is being designed to find more ways to make those choices. The Solution Jacket is the result of facing this challenge head on and finding ways to reduce environmental impacts through design, construction, energy-saving dying methods, and selecting recycled, PFC-free materials.

BUILT TO LAST

Durability is the cornerstone of our design and manufacturing philosophy. Extending the lifetime of the product effectively diminishes the impacts associated with production, by sharing them over more years and cutting down on landfill in the process.

ETHICAL TRADING

We only work with manufacturers who respect the rights and wellbeing of the people who make our products. We have taken steps that help us to verify that our high standards are consistently being met. In doing so we have peace of mind and you can too.

COMMITMENT

Our products are made for wild and extreme environments, so we’re passionate about the survival and ongoing maintenance of these places. That’s why we work with and support several organisations dedicated to protecting the landscapes we love to explore.

RESPONSIBLE CHOICES

From the origin of raw materials to the resources used throughout processing, we’re working hard to understand and where possible reduce our environmental impact, to find the best possible technical solutions that balance compliance, weight, durability and performance.
