Marketing Assistant - Events and Athletes (6 Months Fixed Term Contract, Start Date ASAP)

About the Role:

A rare opportunity has arisen within our marketing department for a Marketing Assistant, 6 month fixed term contract, to support our event and athlete programme. The role will provide a crucial link for executing our event activations and being the point person for the athlete team. This varied role will see the successful candidate travelling to and running our key sponsored events whilst also coordinating and building the relationships with our athlete team. Some weekend and out of office hours are required for this role.


The Marketing Assistant will be responsible for:
  • Supporting the delivery of Montane’s sponsored endurance races and consumer-facing events to ensure they are planned and executed in line with brand expectations and contractual agreements.
  • On the ground reporting from events, generating and collecting content to feed back to the wider marketing and digital teams.
  • Support with the relationship building and day-to-day management of the Montane athletes and ambassadors to ensure activity calendars are up to date and visible and that all content opportunities are maximised.
  • Provide broad reaching support across the marketing department for key activity such as photoshoots, launch activity, media planning, and data processing.

Skills and Experience:

The successful candidate will ideally have:
  • Some experience or involvement with consumer events, races and working with a team of athletes or ambassadors.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • Strong verbal skills and the ability to work within a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to build lasting relationships with event organisers and athletes.
  • A proactive approach and good problem solving skills.

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience.
Contract: Full Time/but also open to discussing part-time options. Start Date: We are looking for someone to start in this role ASAP
