About the Role
Looking for your next retail career adventure? We are opening a new Factory Shop and have an exciting opportunity for a Store Manager to lead and motivate our new store team in the successful opening and evolution of our new store which is due to open later this summer. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager or Supervisor to join us in their next career adventure to shape and lead our new retail store team to deliver an inspiring, exciting and welcoming store environment for our customers. This role will report into our Senior Store Manager who will oversee the operations and success of both our Ashington and Lancaster Factory Shops.
What will you do - Responsibilities

In store we want to create a fun and inspiring environment for our team where every member is passionate about the brand, the product and providing excellent customer service. The Store Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring the achievement of sales targets, delivery of excellent customer service, maintaining store standards, and leading the team to maximise store performance.
The Store Manager will lead the team to success by
- Creating an in store culture that empowers store team members to provide excellent customer service.
- Addressing any customer queries and issues promptly and in line with brand standards.
- Ensuring all sales are in line with or exceed store budgets and targets.
- Working with the Senior Store Manager and Head Office Teams to implement strategies and local marketing to drive sales and increase customer footfall.
- Leading stock management, stock rotation, sell out with support from the Senior Store Manager and Merchandise Manager.
- Managing store merchandising and physical layout to support full price QC, discontinued, samples and repaired product.
- Managing merchandising, visual refresh and seasonal switch over.
- Conducting all administrative, financial, health and safety, HR, security procedures relating to the store.
- Ensuring that the store is a safe and secure environment.
- Implementing effective stock loss, cash loss and cash management procedures.
- Managing store recruitment, induction and training with the support of the Senior Store Manager and People and Culture team.
- Continuously developing the teams product knowledge, customer engagement and learning.
- Managing staff rotas, staff holidays and instore coverage.
- Managing team performance and dealing with any HR issues with the support of the Senior Store Manager and People and Culture Team.
- Writing and submitting trade reports.
- Keeping up to date with market trends, competitor activities and industry developments.
The successful candidate will have
- Minimum of 3-5 years of retail management experience, preferably in the outdoor clothing industry and or a factory shop or high-volume store.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent commercial management skills with the proven ability to achieve sales targets and manage financial performance.
- Excellent knowledge of retail KPI’s with the ability to challenge and improve the working environment to improve internal processes and customer experience.
- High retail standards with an eye for detail and accuracy.
- High level of visual merchandising skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with point-of-sale systems.
- Strong organisational, problem solving and multitasking abilities.
- A keen interest in the outdoors.

Location: Lancaster.
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience.
Contract: Full Time (37.5), rota based including weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
